Tool time

There are a few stand-out tools I have for the garden. Aussie Gardener canvas garden bags are handy for green waste and are extremely durable. No more holes or tears in plastic sack-style bags, no more flaking bits of plastic throughout the yard, no more guilt about buying plastic that ends up in landfill after limited use.

I also love my Gorilla Cart which is as useful as a wheelbarrow but without the need to lift or risk the load tipping over. It has pneumatic tyres, a tight turning circle and a tipper (below). I got mine from Hammerbarn.

Finally, also from Aussie Gardener, another canvas product, and that is their tarpaulin. These are ridiculously good quality, thick, water resistant tarps with strong stitching. We used to use a typical plastic tarp to gather our tiger grass waste and this always resulted in tears and holes, and plastic bits littering the yard.

There is no indication of wear or tear on this tarp and we have used it many times to line the wagon when transporting garden waste (easy to unload by just dragging the lot out at the tip, without fearing tearing the tarp). They have tarps that are big enough to cover the trailer as well. Highly recommended product. We want another one as they are super useful (great picnic rug too!).
