My family came over to help us lay a rebated shed slab after we were quoted nearly $2500 by a concreter. Fortunately, my dad is a handyman with some experience in concreting... he even has a mixer! He is over 80 years old, so it took a few more pairs of hands (young and not-so) to lighten the workload.

The mixer motor burned out towards the end, so we took turns hand mixing in a wheelbarrow!

Rob and I putting in some sweat equity.

Ready to dry!

The shed from Complete Sheds Australia arrived just a couple of days ago and putting together the panels hasn't been nearly as bad as we had read about ("divorce-worthy"). The channels snap onto the sheets and the sheets join by self-tapping screws. Instructions are through a video.

The main gripe we have so far is that the delivery guys entered our property and left the box in the middle of the backyard, despite our bright signs warning of the dogs. It wasn't so much that our dogs could bite, but that they could have wandered off into the street!

The next update will be exciting... the bones of the project completed!
